Wildfire Mitigation

Objective

Help mitigate wildfire risk for an investor-owned utility prone to fire hazard. Utilities need to address safety risks associated with wildfires while ensuring reliable electricity supply. The approach must be cost-effective for ratepayers and economically viable for shareholders.

Approach

We designed and implemented an end-to-end wildfire risk management strategy. This included conducting wildfire risk analytics and benchmarking to identify potential hazards. We designed and implemented proactive measures to harden systems against wildfires and developed prioritized investment strategies to enhance wildfire resilience.

Results
